The books span the entire history of Narnia, from its creation in The Magician's Nephew to its eventual destruction in The Last Battle.

Most of the novel is set in Narnia , a land of talking animals and mythical creatures that is ruled by the evil White Witch. In the frame story , four English children are relocated to a large, old country house following a wartime evacuation.

The series revolves around the adventures of children in the world of Narnia , guided by Aslan , a wise and powerful lion that can speak and is the true king of Narnia. Susan and Peter enter together and find Lucy and Edmund. They all meet Mr. Beaver who invites them to lunch at their cottage.
