The body was not made by love. Yet love does not condemn it and can use it lovingly, respecting what the Son of God has made and using it to save him from illusions. It discusses how the Course resolves the God-world paradox that has existed in the Western world since the time of Plato—namely, how an imperfect material universe could result from a perfect immaterial Creator. Thus, the context of this exploration is the Platonic and Gnostic themes that have run through Western intellectual and religious history, and the similarities and contrasts between these and the Course. Love Does Not Condemn is in three parts: the first part introduces the Gnostics, Platonists, and the Church-Gnostic conflict of the first two centuries A. The appendix includes the complete text of the important Gnostic document "The Gospel of Truth," glossary of terms, table of dates, bibliography, subject and name index, and an index of Course references. The Flesh and the Devil

My favorite character, of course, is the fascinating Tristan. But if I had to pick a second character it would definitely be Dona Jeronima. My least favorite is Eugenio de Castaneda. He was just so obnoxious with all his snide remarks and chuckles. I would have liked to see this book continue. Which ones dragged or held you on to your seat? Denys was, after all, laying out the story, and she does such an excellent job immersing the reader in her world.

Wow, what a weird and beautiful book My expectations were pretty high because it s so rare as is Denys only other novel, The Silver Devil , and they were met for the most part The premise is pretty simple Girl is sold off into marriage to a faceless duke and danger and passion occur in the most unexpected ways with love and hatred being equal motives.
