Skip to main content Gwen Frostic. In Stock. This is a charming book about an artist who, with her family's encouragement, overcame a physical disability and went on to lead a life that combined creativity with a passion for nature. The story celebrates doing what you can rather than focusing on what you can't and following your dreams even when doing so makes you unconventional. The text is engaging and the illustrations lovely, making this a good choice for reading aloud or for early readers. And the bonus material at the end of the book provides interesting biographical information for both adults and kids as well as instructions for a crafts project inspired by the artist's work.
