Architectural Geometry - Architekturgeometrie

Engineering is the use of scientific principles to design and build machines, structures, and other items, including bridges, tunnels, roads, vehicles, and buildings. See glossary of engineering. The term engineering is derived from the Latin ingenium , meaning "cleverness" and ingeniare , meaning "to contrive, devise". The creative application of scientific principles to design or develop structures, machines, apparatus, or manufacturing processes, or works utilizing them singly or in combination; or to construct or operate the same with full cognizance of their design; or to forecast their behavior under specific operating conditions; all as respects an intended function, economics of operation and safety to life and property. Engineering has existed since ancient times, when humans devised inventions such as the wedge, lever, wheel and pulley, etc.

It seems that you're in Germany. We have a dedicated site for Germany. An introduction to transformations of the plane and three-dimensional space describes how objects can be constructed from geometric primitives and manipulated. This leads into a treatment of projections and the method of rendering objects on a computer screen by application of the complete viewing operation. As in the first edition, applications of the geometric theory are exemplified throughout the book, but new features in this revised and updated edition include:. Over exercises are included, some new to this edition, and many of which encourage the reader to implement the techniques and algorithms discussed through the use of a computer package with graphing and computer algebra capabilities. A dedicated website also offers further resources and links to other useful websites.

Pottmann, A. Asperl, M. Hofer and A. Kilian: Architekturgeometrie.
